What Is Gender Identity?
Have you or someone you know ever questioned your gender identity? Have you ever felt as though your gender or sexual identity did not fit? Have you ever felt you were trapped in the wrong body, lost is a confusing world of only two genders, or felt as though you just didn't understand your gender?

Gender Identity Therapy is designed to help people come to understand, and explore their gender from all aspects. Using a gender spectrum, client's find their own place on that spectrum and strive to achieve comfort and affirmation of their gender identity.

Jason Rose-Langston has been a gender therapist for over 3 years. He studied under Lisette Lahana, LICSW, and attended a 6 month group training on gender assessment and ongoing psychotherapy with transgendered clients. Jason has also attended further Gender Conferences including the first Greater New England Gender Conference in 2006.
Jason's work with Transgender client's has been very rewarding and he has now seen over 20 individual client's for transgender assessments and ongoing psychotherapy. Jason continues the study of gender theory and attend trainings and participate in local and national gender advocacy groups.

Transgender Assessments
Jason provides transgender evaluations for individuals looking to make a change in there gender presentation, are questioning their gender identity, or are looking toward medical treatment through hormone replacement therapy or sex affirmation surgeries. Jason collaborates with medical providers and will write gender evaluation letters for client's when appropriate.

Ongoing Transgender Therapy
Most client's require and request ongoing psychotherapy before, during, and after a gender transition of any kind. Jason's style of treatment is to provide education, support, encouragement, and to act as a resource for transgender client's and their loved ones. By using individual, couples, and family counseling, client's are able to achieve their goals and go on to live the lives they have always wanted.
